Our Initiatives
+1000 Hectares Protected!
800 hectares (2,000 acres) of land along the south coast of the Inlet, and the iconic One-Eye Peak (259 hectares / 640 acres) have now been protected.
2200 Acres Protected
On October 10, 2003, the Government of British Columbia informed us that it was accepting the generous gift of the approximately 2200 acres surrounding the existing Princess Louisa Marine Park.
The Society continues to advocate for protection of the entire Inlet as shown in red on the attached map.
The Society is also supporting ecological, archaeological and recreational studies to support protection of the Inlet.
In 2025, the Society replaced the marine facilities at Macdonald Island including a new float and ramp access and the mooring buoys.
In 2026, the Society recognized the 24-year dedication of Park Ranger Ming Neil to protect the park by dedicating a park bench at the Macdonald Island site, along the Ming Trail.
